Atatürk Scholarship

The Atatürk Scholarship was founded to provide Educational Bursaries to Australians of Turkish descent who are completing their first year at University or TAFE and who are also in need of financial assistance. 

The Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Memorial Bursary

The Atatürk Scholarship, in conjunction with the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund, have agreed to establish and honour the Turkish origins of the Gallipoli Scholarship. This bursary would be known as the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Memorial Bursary to recognise his famous words to the mothers of the ANZAC’s and the 106 years of the close relationship between the two countries. This special bursary will be given to the descendants of the ANZAC’s and can be applied for by visiting http://www.gallipolischolarship.com.au

The Şarık Arıyak Memorial Bursary

With the permission of the Arıyak Family the Ataturk Scholarship awarded the Şarık Arıyak Memorial Bursary as an incentive for first year Ataturk Scholars who achieve a minimum Distinction average to apply for funding for their second year of tertiary study. The Bursary perpetuates the memory of Mr Şarık Arıyak, who was assassinated by Armenian Terrorist whilst serving as the Turkish Consulate General in Dover Heights, Sydney Australia in 1980
